Beirut - Nantes

Here's Zach Condon playing on the street because his band (Beirut) is so bad they couldn't book any shows. The drummer had to sell his drums and now he's playing on Garbage cans. I went to this show the day the Flying Cup Club album came out but everyone left because it was so shitty. I stayed and read a book because I felt bad for the band.

There is a new movie out about Bob Dylan who is famous for being the worst guitar player of all time. Apparently a ton of actors are playing him because none of them could stand even acting as someone so overrated for a prolonged period of time. At one point a woman plays him, which I imagine will be the most accurate portrayal.

Anyway some people are covering his songs or something which I imagine will be pretty lame. (Yo La Tengo, Willie Nelson, Los Lobos, Cat Power, Sonic Youth, Antony and the Johnsons and hella other people stfu)

Eddie Vedder is playing all along the watchtower which is a Jimi Hendrix song, so at least there will be one good song on there. You'd think someone would catch that error.

Anyways when you see this album at Target or w/e I'm sure they'll have a ton because I don't think any of my friends are buying this crap.

This band's name is "cut off your hands" which is very appropriate because when I listen to them that's exactly what I want to do.

they have an EP out called "shaky hands". Guess these assholes just can't stop thinking about hands.
